The story is one of the strong points of this saga, because it is a story very interesting and above all consistent. The story of Guilty Gear is set in the future, around the year 2180. In the year 2010, mankind discovered an unlimited source of energy of incredible power, which was appropriately named “Magic”. Because of this, the weapons living known as “Gears” were created. But with time the Gears revolted against its creators, and under the command Gear Justice declared war against humanity. In response, the United Nations created an elite group of warriors from all over the world call The Sacred Order of Holy Knights (The Sacred Order of the Knights Sacred) to fight the Gears and so begins The Holy War (or the Crusades) which lasted for 100 years. Finally, in the year 2175 The Sacred Order of Holy Knights manages to defeat Justice and is locked up in a prison dimensional, so that The Holy War comes to an end.
